👌🎙️Discussed on @CashThatPodcast The Lakers have a makeup game against the Hornets on Wednesday as the standalone NBA game on the slate. The Lakers are still working to transition into their Luka Doncic era and with two games against the Utah Jazz as the only same it is not much to work with. However, in those two games, the Lakers saw their 3 point frequency jump from 36.3% to 44.6%. This may partially be due to Utah allowing a higher frequency of 3s during the season; however, I think this is something we should expect moving forward given to the change in the on-court personnel. The biggest swing was in above-the-break 3s moving from 27.4% to 35.9% in frequency. This is the shot that the Hornets allow at the highest frequency in the league, per Cleaning the Glass. Reaves has taken 15 3s in two games and made just 4 of them, below his season average mark of 36.9%. Reaves has seen an uptick in above the break 3s with Luka on the floor as well, per PBP stats. Considering there is also a chance LeBron sits on the front end of this back to back, and I’ll grab Reaves to drain three 3s.
