Cleveland has been one of the most impressive teams in the league over the first week and a half. They are a perfect 5-0 and rank 2nd in net rating. They're 1st in offensive rating and a close 2nd in scoring (Boston is 1st by 1 point). Orlando has been solid but was dealt a crushing blow on Wednesday. Breakout star Paolo Banchero went down with a torn oblique and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Banchero was averaging 29 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. He easily led the team with a massive 31.1% usage rate. The Magic have the depth to survive until Banchero returns, but his production will be difficult to replace in the starting lineup.

Suggs is going to see monstrous Usage without Paolo Banchero (oblique). Suggs has seen an absurd 17% bump in Usage without Paolo this season (in an admittedly small sample size) but this is still a 4% bump over the last two seasons. He is scoring more than 24 more points per 100 possessions this season and in the significantly larger two year sample size this jumps from 22.8 points per 100 to 30.2, the third-highest on the team, per pbp stats. When we consider that Suggs is seeing some of the highest Usage in his career this year along with a career high in scoring at 16.8 ppg, there is still room to expand his role within a Magic offense that desperately needs scoring threats. While Franz should see the bulk of the primary defensive assignments, this one should be a bit easier for Suggs against the Cavs who could defend him with Garland and Mitchell. I expect Suggs to play at least 30 minutes and have him at about 18.5 points. I’ll grab over 14.5 and would play at 15.5 as well.
