Simons is off to a solid start this season averaging 23.3 PPG and going over his prop in 60% of his games. He’s coming off scoring 25 points vs. the Clippers where he abused the pick & roll with Ayton and attacked Zubac on drop coverage - LAC ranks 27th in defending this play so this makes sense. But I don’t think things will be easy in his next matchup. He’ll meet up against a Thunder stingy guard defense that’s top in the league at limiting PTS to the Pick & Roll BH (5.3 PPG) with the next best, GSW (he scored 15 vs.) permitting 11.2 PPG. Simons used the PNR playtype to collect 44% of his PTS and is shooting FTs to take off the other 21%. OKC ranks top-3 in defending both and also #2 according to PropsMadness vs. defending above the break threes (48% of his FGM). We targeted this same type of matchup with Jamal Murray to start the season where he went under, and Trae Young and Coby White followed the same fate. Its going to be a nightmare to score vs. Caruso, Dort, Wallace, & Chet. I don’t think he gets close to his prop with blowout a potential to happen too. #PlayerProps
