76ers vs. Hornets
Our biggest projection edge is Maxey more than 8.5 rebounds and assists, and our projections also like him over 24.5 points at Underdog. Often, these edges in the NBA will come when we project different usage/minutes than what the sites posting the lines expect, so it's not surprising to see edges on multiple lines for Maxey.
Maxey has only topped this number in 5/12 games this season but Joel Embiid is out Tuesday, opening up even more usage for Maxey.
Pick: Tyrese Maxey More than 8.5 rebounds + assists
Pacers vs. Raptors
Toppin had a season-high eight rebounds in his last game, but he's gone under this number in 15/20 games. We may see a slight uptick in usage for Toppin with Aaron Nesmith out indefinitely and Andrew Nembhard questionable — Toppin's minutes increased from about 15 per game to 22+ over the last two outings — but our projections still think this number is too high.
Pick: Obi Toppin Less than 4.5 rebounds
Bucks vs. Pistons
Duran has been averaging north of 23 minutes per season, but had a dud with 13 minutes and just 6 PRAs in Detroit's last game against Philly on Saturday. We're banking on his rebounding upside and steady offensive usage to get over this number. It doesn't hurt that he's capable of chipping in a few assists as well, posting 2+ in each of his last four games.
Pick: Jalen Duran More than 19.5 PRAs
Rockets vs. Kings
From Rotogrinders expert Kyle Murray on our NBA pick'em page: "Love this spot for VanVleet, as he always has upside to play 36+ minutes in competitive games. This game does have a fairly low total, but I am not concerned, as both teams are in the top 12 in pace this season. I project VanVleet for 7.4 assists in this matchup against the Kings, who have allowed the 7th-most assists per game to point guards."
Pick: Fred Van Vleet More than 5.5 assists
Jazz vs. Thunder
Again, from Murray: "Collins has been very productive on the glass as of late, posting 9+ rebounds in 5 straight games and no fewer than 8 rebounds in his last 10 games. He now gets a matchup against the Thunder, who have played at the fastest pace in the NBA and have allowed the most rebounds per game. I have Collins projected for 11 rebounds."
Pick: John Collins More than 8.5 rebounds
Wizards vs. Cavaliers
The Wizards are a massive underdog against the Cavs, and although this line is right on his season average, there's lots of variance in his scoring numbers because he averages about 6 three-pointers attempted per game.
