UConn vs. Marquette Odds & Betting Predictions - March 10, 2023

Hate this bet, as UConn will be a favorite of mine for the Final Four. UConn sends teams the FT line a ton, but with a high Kill Shot rate will be looking Huskies Live ML

BetMGM - Marquette plays a bit up tempo, and also allows assists at the 30th highest rate in all of college basketball (363 div 1 teams). They also are a below average team in effective field goal defense, meaning more shots go in against them. They allow a lot of offensive rebounds for 2nd chance opportunities, and they don't foul at a high rate, meaning more field goal attempts for UConn. Instead of using his season long assist rate, I've used Jackson's conference assist rate, which is lower and am still getting a 5.2 assist projection for him. He's cleared 3.5 assists in 5 of his last 6 and has averaged 3.5 in two games against Marquette. The first game was unlucky, as he was in foul trouble all game and fouled out after playing just 32 minutes. As long as he doesn't get in foul trouble, which he probably won't given marquette draws fouls at a low rate, he has a good shot at covering this number.
