The Mets did rank top-10 in walk rate last season but I’m backing the longer sample of Gausman being a pitcher with solid control. He had just a 7.4% BB% last season which translates to a 2.78 BB/9 ratio. In fact he’s had a sub-3 BB/9 ratio every year since 2018. He walked just one in his first start last week and I’m projecting this closer to 2.1 walks against New York.
