Last meeting? Minnesota held them to 37.9% FG, cruised to a 104-89 win. Wolves defense? Top-10 in Opp FG% (45.8%). Momentum, firepower, and defense favor Minnesota. Wolves have covered in four of their last six, Magic just 2-6 ATS. Orlando’s offense collapses vs. top defenses—scored 84 vs. Houston, 82 vs. Cleveland. Timberwolves lock down and run away with it. Orlando on a back-to-back on the road, missing Cole Anthony.

The Timberwolves face off against the Orlando Magic who are playing their second game in as many days. Both of these teams are jockeying for Playoff positioning and I expect full efforts for both squads. One player that has continued to impress for the Timberwolves is Julius Randle. On the season, he is averaging 18.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. His current PR line of 23.5 is one he has exceeded in 67% of games as well. Randle has found success in what is typically a tougher matchup against this Orlando Magic team. He put up 33 PR in the January matchup against them and has averaged 33.8 PR over the last few seasons. One player that could always sit for Orlando is Jonathan Isaac given his injury history, and if he does, this would only make the matchup softer for Randle. Part of his success is his ability to get to the line against them and out-physical this Orlando team. That is the style of play that can still bit difficult for Orlando here.
