The San Antonio Spurs face off against the Miami Heat on Monday night. The player I’m deciding to target is De’Aaron Fox who has a solid matchup in this spot. The heat play at the league’s fastest pace, and that naturally is going to present with more opportunities for touches. I would expect Bam Adebayo to see the bulk of the minutes and try to line up against Wemby and if you really had to create anyone to guard him, Bam would probably be in the top list of candidates. Miami’s defense often times relies on zone and that’s something that fox is able to exploit. He’s able to not only get downhill but also get into the little gaps in the zone and score in the mid range as well. Although Fox has not played Miami this season, he has scored well against them in his last two games. We have also seen similar lead guards recently have success against the Heat including Amen Thompson, LaMelo Ball, and Ryan Rollins. I’ll back Fox on Monday night.
