Available at FanDuel. This is partly just trying to pump the brakes on Joe Ryan while acknowledging that Reid Detmers is better than his results thus far. Detmers is getting strikeouts and should continue to do so against this Twins offense. Ryan, meanwhile, is elite and continues to prove that -- but his batted-ball data isn't perfect. There is room for him to come back to Earth a bit. My model puts the Angels' win odds at 51.8%, up from 48.1% implied.

LAA runs RHH heavy - their best lineup right now is 6 righties, and even if they go 5, the lefties are relatively strikeout prone (mainly Thiass, Ohtani and Moniak). Pertinent because Ryan is good vs lefties (23.5% - big improvement from 18% last season), but excellent vs righties (36% - big bump from 31% last season). The split finger has really added to his arsenal. Over in 5/L7. LAA has not faced too many ace-caliber righties this season.
