The Knicks allowed the fewest R+A to opposing centers this season. Embiid is clearly not 100%, which should effect his ability on the boards. 22 rebounding chances last game does not scare me either - the Knicks are an elite offensive rebounding team, and I’m banking on Embiid to convert his rebounding chances at a below average rate. On the passing side - the Knicks are one of the few teams that will play him straight up with Mitch/Hartenstein. The Knicks were solid vs spot up shooting this season, allowing the seventh fewest made baskets per game. I don’t see the Knicks helping much on Embiid, and staying glued to the Sixers secondary players.

The Knicks put on a rebounding clinic in Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers and one of the primary contributors for that advantage was Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson had 8 points and 12 rebounds on 19 rebound chances. The thing that is notable though is this push came in the second half after Joel Embiid took that hard fall. In the second half Mitch scored 6 points and secured a whopping 11 rebounds with 6 of those coming on the offensive glass. After Embiid went down, he was notably less effective on the glass - he grabbed 5 boards in the 1H but but 3 in the 2H. Even on offense he did not score in the same fashion and worked more as a facilitator. With this game on short rest after that injury, I question whether Embiid will be able to be as aggressive on the glass. Additionally, Robinson played 30 minutes, by far the most in any recent game. When Robinson has played even 20+ minutes he has averaged 16.9 PR and exceeded this 12.5 line in 77% of games. I'm trusting the minutes and the rebounding ability here and grabbing Robinson to exceed 12.5 PR.
