🎙️ Discussed on @CashThatPodcast The Eastern-Conference Play-In Tournament starts tonight as the 9/10 matchup pits the Hawks against the Bulls for the right to try and get swept by the Boston Celtics. I’m eying the matchup on the interior here between Clint Capela and Nikola Vucevic. Capela has smashed in this matchup head to head against Vucevic. Since they’ve been on their current respective squads, Capela has averaged 14.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 9 games. He’s exceeded 26.5 PRA in 8/9 games including 4 consecutive. Here, the Hawks are without Onyeka Okongwu and Jalen Johnson. While Bruno Fernando could absorb some of the minutes, Capela has averaged about 27 minutes per game without Okongwu this season and is fairly productive in his on court minutes. Regardless, his size will be needed in this spot against Vucevic and possibly Drummond (questionable). I expect Capela to find success and the primary roll threat for Trae and Dejounte on the interior as well.
