Derrick White 2+ alternative blocks on DK White is over in 3 of his last 4 games without Porzingis, racking up 4/3/2/0 blocks over that time. Manually build out the double double by adding 10+ pts and 10+ rebounds for Lively, which gives the odds a nice little jump. Lively has now recorded a DD in his last two games. 11 pts in each of his last two games and 12 & 13 rebounds in the last two games on 26 rebound chances (game 3) and 17 rebound chances in game (game 4). No Porzingis has allowed Lively to sit back closer to the rim in a quasi-zone look with Tillman and co. On the floor (great insight from @JoeDellera) Pick from Cash That Podcast. No player was hunted on Luka Doncic switches more then Sam Hauser was last game when both were in the court. During the 12 minutes of overlap, Hauser had to defend 9 of Luka’s FGA. Having Dante Exum bring up the ball more unlocked the off-ball Luka mismatches where Exum would give Luka the ball and he’d get his easier defender. It was a new wrinkle in the offensive scheme and prevented Hauser from originally getting away with guarding a low-usage wing option. And the stats won’t tell the full story. He played an extra 4 minute stint from Q3 10:16 -> 6:09 because Tatum picked up his 3rd foul, and because Mazzulla waived the white flag in a blowout at the end of the 3rd quarter, Hauser was able to get early garbage time run, without Luka Doncic on the court, where 3 of his 4 rebounds occurred. This line is way too high for Brown who is shooting just 33% from deep this postseason. Brown has averaged 1.9 3s per game on 5.6 attempts during the Playoffs. That’s simply not his game. Brown is at his best when he’s attacking the rack and getting into the teeth of the defense. He is not known to be a prolific 3 point shooter. During this series, he’s gone 2/6, 1/5, 2/9, and 1/5 from 3. Despite taking ~40% of his shots from 3 there isn’t enough volume for an average shooter. If Brown shoots 33% on those average attempts, he’d be at just 2.08 3s per game and even if we give him his career average of 36% that’s just 2.27. Brown has exceeded this line in just 5 of 22 Playoff games this season and is 0/4 vs Dallas. Brown can still have a strong game and impact winning without making 3s.
